Information about the uploaded content that makes it easy to find and identify.


First is descriptive metadata. This is type of metadata provides attributes about the data overall. This information is primarily used for data identification, organization and discovery. Without descriptive metadata, it would be exceedingly difficult to find specific content.

Data that helps uniquely distinguish one piece of scripture from another.

ID Each entry or resource in the DBL is assigned a unique identifier. This ID is used to distinguish each item from others. id

Local Name Name used to refer to the scripture in its official or native language. nameLocal

Description Free form description of the scripture in English description

Promotional Description Promotional information about the scripture translation, often displayed when presenting the language in the DBL and others. promoVersionInfo
Scope Official selection of texts recognized as sacred and authoritative (e.g. Old Testament , New Testament , Bible , etc…) scope
Completion Date The date of completion or initial publication of this scripture translation. dateCompleted

The written full name of the primary country where the language of the scripture is used, according to ISO 3166. (e.g. United States )


If the language is predominantly spoken in multiple countries, use the name of the country where the creator or publisher is located.
