Applying to be a Content Distributor
A Content Distributor in DBL is an organization that shares content downloaded from DBL with others outside of DBL. This might be a ministry that distributes a specific translation or an app that presents a collection of translations. An organization must be an officially registered entity with their country.
The request to become a Content Distributor is the last part of an organization’s membership application. To initiate this part of the application in the Membership Type screen, find the section called 'Distributor' and simply click 'Begin.' You may also get to this screen by clicking ‘Next’ on the ‘Sign Services Agreement’ screen.

Click ‘Save’ at any point during the application to save your progress so you can finish the application later. To successfully complete this part of the application, you must provide the following information regarding your organization:
- Description - a detailed description of your product or project that will be using the content in DBL
- The website related to that product or project
- Intended Use - how will your product or project use and distribute scripture content?
- Intended Format - in which format will you distribute content? Please select all that apply (text, audio, video, braille)
- Intended Distribution - through which medium will you distribute content? Select all that apply (browser-based, native mobile app, or print on demand)
- Will you distribute the content for free? (yes, no, or both)
- Will you collect fees? (yes or no)
- Other Organizational Solutions - Are there other projects or products that your organization produces?

Click ‘Save’ to save and view the information you’ve entered. Then, if everything looks good, click ‘Next’ to continue to the membership dashboard and submit your application.

Please note: You may apply to be a Content Contributor as well as a Content Distributor simultaneously. The instructions to become a Content Contributor can be found here.
