How to Delegate Access

As a DBL organization, you have the option to delegate access to another organization. This means that another organization has equal authority to manage your organization in DBL on your behalf. Doing so can be helpful if another organization’s manpower or expertise is desired to manage aspects of your organization in DBL.

From your organization portal, click on the organization for which you want to delegate access. Then, click on the ‘roles’ tab to access the screen shown below.

Next, click on the ‘Invite organization’ button located under the heading ‘Delegate organizations.’ This will show you a pop up that allows you to search for the organization to whom you wish to delegate access.

Once you’ve found the organization, click on their name and click ‘Invite organization.’

The final step in this process requires you to identify which permissions you want to grant this organization. Do you want them to be an account manager, content manager, license manager, or a combination of those? Select the desired manager roles and click ‘Invite organization.’

The status of this request is now shown on the ‘Roles’ tab. You can locate the request under ‘Pending organization invitations; it will show as ‘Pending’ until the request is either accepted or denied.

Once accepted, you’ll be able to find the organization under ‘Delegate organizations.’

Removing Delegated Access

You can also remove access for organizations by clicking on the three vertical dots next to the organization’s name and clicking ‘remove organization.’

You will be asked to confirm your decision. Clicking ‘Yes, remove’ will remove delegated access for that organization and everyone that is part of it. If you cancel the request, you will simply be returned to the previous screen. Keep in mind that even if you remove delegated access in error, you can always grant access again by repeating the aforementioned process
